This is my favorite from work. Iced venti Americano in my favorite cup (1 of 3 cold cups I have). Yep, I love coffee.

I have been working at Starbucks for the last 6 months. When you become a partner you get a partner card which is used for partner discounts and partner number. I got my card this weekend. I can link it to my Starbucks Gold Membership card so I still get my points.

Evening clouds 032

I saw these clouds and they looked amazing. Totally hip, connected, and separated. Made me feel small but at the same time reminded me of God's awesomeness.

These guys are great. Though I am not a veteran they have let me join them and hang out. They gather on the patio of the coffee shop morning, day, and night. I am thankful that I get to participate in their conversations. This is what the table normally looks like.

A mother of one of my students let me know that he is diabetic. Of course I am diabetic as well and he and I have become close talking about it the illness and why it's like to be on insulin pumps. Here is an email that mom sent me last night. Another one for the happy file!

A great place to work 026

Sometimes I don't look forward to going in to my weekend job. But once i get there, that melts away and Begin to enjoy it. Let's face it if we had a choice to not work or live a life without money, we would choose work. These guys really make my job fun and enjoyable. So do our regular customers. I still love teaching but serving others has always been in my blood as well as coffee!

Foggy Nights 025

While living in Germany, I loved the nights like tonight, which is foggy and 60 degrees. I would sit on the plaza or my balcony at my apartment and watch the fog roll in and out. Pleasant memories of a younger Beau.

The teen on the right signed his athletic scholarship in baseball yesterday. I told him that we would eat lunch together along with one of his buddies. Sharing a meal with any of my students is a great honor for me and I believe it shows them that someone cares and is paying attention.

A beau tie 014

I had a coworker who passed away a few years ago. His trademark was the bow tie. The Friday following after his passing the staff wore bow ties as a memorial for him. So I learned how to tie one and wear one when I can. Bow ties are awesome. Totally are. Today was the first day with the teens and I am tired.

Usually on Saturday nights I will meet my buddy and his wife to be at Houlihan's to watch the game or just chit chat. We haven't done this in awhile but I sure do enjoy these moments. Moments are the scar on memory, and these are the scars I will wear proudly.

My Dad 010

This is my father playing his favorite game outside of baseball and basketball. He plays daily and enjoys his time on the course. He is an amazing man and I hope that I will be the father that he is to me. Given a chance I believe I will be.

Broken frames and broken glass 008

I had a very frustrating day, but I didn't cry. Before I began to clean the floors a bomb was dropped on me. That was the cause. However on a hall table near the back door sat a framed cross stitched picture one of my best friends gave me, which had belonged to his mother, who is no longer with us. I knocked it off the table on accident, sending the plaster frame to the tiled floor, where it burst into a million pieces. I then picked it up and threw it across the room and the glass shattered into the same amount of pieces. I hate that I did that but I felt better. It's okay to be angry, just as long it's not your pair of your favorite jeans....
